    Description

1/16 PLATE AMBROTYPE - MAN WITH FUNNY CUPIE DOLL HAIRDO - IN EXCELLENT CONDITION THERMOPLASTIC UNION CASE
    -
When you open this near mint condition sixteenth plate thermoplastic Union case you will be greeted by a gentleman with two spit curls styled on top of his head. If you don't chuckle a little then you should not consider buying this cased image. Personally, I find it hilarious although I think he was completely serious. The image is very sharp for one of these miniature cased images. The case in in near mint condition with the only imperfection I can find is a very tiny chip on one of the eight corners
. If you love this sixteenth plate cased images, then this one will bring a smile to your face every time you check out this curly top gent from the 19th Century. Good luck to all my bidders.
    CONDITION

Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of the image and as part of my description. The ambrotype contains great contrast, tonal range and sharpness. Subtle hand tinting was applied to the man's face.
The sixteenth plate case contains tight hinges and the working clasp.
The warm toned velvet pillow and rails are in fine antique condition as well. Other than than very minor chip on one exterior corner, this case is in mint condition. The winner can select their choice of shipping service at checkout.
