    Description

    FOR SALE : Five B&R Industries N scale electro -magnetic uncoupler kits model J-17. I suggest familiarizing yourself with the installation schematic which is part of the kit (see photos). The coil is activated with 16VAC which is the accessory voltage on most N & HO scale transformers. You will need a momentary switch to operate the coil which can be wired into a rotary switch if you are installing more than one coil ( cool idea). There's black plastic spotting posts included which pinpoint the location of the uncoupler on your layout. The armature is installed vertically and relies on gravity to retract. I've used these in the past and I suggest gluing the crown in the armature (square brass tube) to secure it in place. Again, please read the instructions.
