Description

Chetek is a small town up near the Rice lake area in Northern Wisconsin. Lots of Chippewas inhabit the area now and in the past. This wooden figure has a hand carved breechcloth as well as wears a carved wooden vest and an eagle bonnet that has been stained with some old color that looks vegetal or mineral in nature. His face and hands are also stained with color. Nice example that we rarely see and it has NO RESERVE !

SIZE:
It measures approx. 8 1/2  +/- inches tall AND STANDS BY ITSELF.
CONDITION:
EXCELLENT with typical  signs of use/age as expected including some very old nicks on his feet. he looks to have had probably a woodlen spear in his hand pergaps..easily added if you are even a little handy with a twig and a knife.
