    Description

One piece when folded (as seen in image), measures 5" x 6 1/4", bold and legible on "The Plaza Hotel" New York stationary; vertical stain on front.
Autographed Note of the Last Surviving Child of General Robert E. Lee - Mary Custis Lee!
The 1914 invitation reads, in part, "Just returned from the "other side".  Would you come and see me, as I shall not be very long in "New York". Always in by 5 or 5.30, & could then offer you a cup of tea."  Ms. Lee returned from abroad to the United States because of the start of WWI in Europe.
