    Description

SCARCE DOUBLE COMPARTMENT "LIBERTY #2" THERMOPLASTIC CASE + RARELY SEEN DAG & AMBRO SAME LADY -
You will rarely find this particular sixth plate thermoplastic Union case, especially in such excellent condition. The case contains a Daguerreotype on the left side and an Ambrotype on the right of the same lady at two different ages. The case has one of the all-time best pictorial motifs on both the front and backside. The image has Lady Liberty in the center holding a wreath, plus images of side wheel paddle ship and a steam locomotive. Incredibly details make this a must have housing for your collection of 19th Century photography. I am proud to offer this scarce case here on Ebay containing an even rarer pairing of sixth plates of the same lovely lady. Good luck to my winning bidder.
    CONDITION
    :
Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of the image and as part of my description.
The sixth plate daguerreotype has been resealed with new glass. The Ambrotype has a few issues, but does not effect the young woman's face. Berg lists this thermoplastic scarce and beautiful case for 0.00 alone. The only issues I have clearly shown in my listing photos. There is one hairline in the interior upper left corner of the right side compartment and a couple hairline cracks seen at the clasp. All eight corners on the exterior are in perfect condition without chips. The case has tight hinges, the working clasp mechanism plus two matching mats and preservers. The two original paper labels are still present behind the mats.
I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy this case in your collection of 19th Century case collection or to add two of your own photos in need of a housing.
