    Description

Vintage BIRCH BARK Hand Crafted OJIBWE Native American Chippewa Basket Vessel.
Handmade by the Native American Ojibwa tribe in Northern Minnesota.  Beautiful hand crafted vessel for rustic home or cabin decor.
    Size is large:
    18" x 9 1/2"
One owner.  Purchased in 1990, 30 year old basket.
Condition is "Used".  There are minor scuffs, and the raffia lacing sewing the long vertical seam closed popped back in 1991.  It has not come apart any farther than this, has maintained this shape for the last 29 years.  No guarantees, but I doubt it would come apart any farther since the upper and lower edges are sewn/laced onto a rounded twin frame. I have always liked that the seam edge came loose as it adds extra color, flair, and proof of handmade construction.  The bark is old and dry by now, not very flexible, but still stand up over time.
The inside is clean, just very slight normal wear. (see last image)
Feel free to request more pictures or close-ups of anything.
Will aim to ship out same day if possible, or next day.  (2 days in the event of a snow storm.)
